The PK PLATTER consists of 10 Qualifying rounds where 50% of the competitors go on to compete in the next 6 Money Rounds.

Mark and Cheryl Stearns were tied with 0.03 after the 6 Money Rounds. Under the PK PLATTER rules jump offs are 3 rounds which made for a very exciting afternoon. Two World Class Accuracy Jumpers were about to go three rounds head to head for $10,000.

At the end of the first jump off round Mark had 0.00 and Cheryl 0.04. In round two Cheryl got a 0.00 and Mark 0.02 narrowing Marks lead to 2 Centimeters. You can imagine the excitement that built up to round three. In round three Mark jumped first and Cheryl followed. Both had a 0.00 leaving Mark the winner and proud owner of “TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS”.

As the first order of the new PARAFOIL 2000 canopies were making their way through the production line the PARAFOIL 2000 was already appearing in the Winner Circle. Mark Jones was using a PARAFOIL 2000 when he won the PK PLATTER 2000.

It is only fitting that Mark has won the first competition that was won with NAA’s new PARAFOIL 2000. For the last year and a half, during the development of the PARAFOIL 2000, Mark has been making the evaluation jumps. He played a major role in the development of this new accuracy canopy.

The PARAFOIL 2000 is now in production and NAA would like to thank Mark for his hard work and dedication in the development of the PARAFOIL 2000.
